AsianFin -- Sandwich Lab, a fast-growing AI innovation company specializing in business intelligence agents, announced Monday that it has completed a multimillion-dollar Series A funding round co-led by Jinqiu Fund and Mobvista.
Lansong Capital served as the exclusive long-term financial advisor. The company said the fresh capital will be used to enhance its core AI technologies, accelerate global market expansion, and recruit international talent.
Positioning itself as a next-generation productivity engine for small and medium-sized enterprises , Sandwich Lab is building AI-powered systems that go far beyond traditional tools. By integrating generative AI, behavioral analytics, content strategy algorithms, and cross-platform ad optimization, the company aims to transform digital growth into a systematic, scalable, and intelligent process. Its core mission is to shift AI’s role from assistant to autonomous growth engine—empowering resource-constrained businesses to achieve measurable, long-term success.
The founding team draws talent from global tech and consumer giants including Apple, Microsoft, Baidu, Giorgio Armani, and Alibaba DAMO Academy. Founder Dr. Zhenyu Guo earned his bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University and pursued a PhD in computational neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. While still in academia, Guo founded a company that became a supplier to SolarCity and Tesla, and was later acquired by U.S. energy firm Generac. He went on to lead AI initiatives at Postmates and spearheaded the Xiaomanlv autonomous driving project at Alibaba DAMO.
The company’s flagship product is Lexi, an AI-powered marketing agent designed for Meta’s advertising ecosystem. Lexi automates the full campaign lifecycle—from market research and audience targeting to copywriting, visual design, ad placement, and performance optimization—allowing business owners to simply set growth goals while the AI handles the execution. This model, referred to internally as Shadowwork AI, positions Lexi as an invisible executor that continuously learns and adapts behind the scenes.
Lexi supports Facebook and Instagram campaigns without geographic, linguistic, or sectoral limitations. To date, it has served over 100,000 SMEs across 90 countries in North America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and other emerging markets. Daily user sign-ups consistently remain in the four-digit range. Lexi operates on a SaaS subscription model, starting with a trial period and transitioning to weekly billing, with average monthly fees around $199.
Dr. Guo said in a statement to investors, “Our principle has always been simple: only by charging can we validate product-market fit. We’re not targeting the unwilling—we’re targeting growth-focused small businesses ready to pay for performance. In the past three months, our user base has grown exponentially, and our product has moved from MVP to early-stage scaling in multiple regions.”
Looking ahead, Sandwich Lab is developing a more comprehensive AI-powered system dubbed the Revenue Generating Machine , which builds on Lexi’s infrastructure. RGM is designed to autonomously identify high-value customer journeys and growth opportunities, continually optimizing itself through market feedback. The system aims to offer a fully automated, revenue-driven growth loop for businesses, enabling sustainable profitability through intelligent orchestration.

Jinqiu Fund, a veteran investor in the AI sector, highlighted its continued focus on long-term bets in general artificial intelligence and transformative enterprise solutions. “As a 12-year AI-focused fund, we’re committed to finding category-defining companies with both technological breakthroughs and innovative business models,” the firm said in a statement.
Mobvista, co-lead investor and a major force in global mobile advertising and programmatic marketing, praised Lexi’s potential in marketing automation. “We’re excited by Lexi’s intelligent conversion capabilities and look forward to deeper global collaboration,” said Mobvista CEO and co-founder Cao Xiaohuan.
